Introduction

Welcome to StoryLink. StoryLink is operated by Reality Play, based in Delhi, India ("StoryLink", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Use govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using StoryLink, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use StoryLink.

Definitions

  • "StoryLink," "we," "us," and "our" refer to StoryLink and its services.
  • "User," "you," and "your" refer to individuals who access or use StoryLink.
  • "Services" refers to all features, applications, content, and products provided by StoryLink.
  • "Generated Reviews" refers to the AI-generated, reader-perspective reviews of your fiction created through our platform.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use StoryLink. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you may use StoryLink only with the involvement, consent, and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

Account Registration

You may need to create an account to access certain features of StoryLink. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to terminate accounts or deny access to anyone who violates these Terms.

AI-Generated Content Restrictions

The reviews generated by StoryLink should not be posted on any public review websites. These AI-generated reviews are intended for personal use only and should not be used for public posting or commercial purposes.

Using our AI-generated reviews on public platforms may violate the terms of service of those platforms and could potentially be considered misleading to consumers.

StoryLink's AI-generated reviews are designed for:

  • Personal creative writing practice
  • Understanding potential reader perspectives
  • Learning and educational purposes
  • Private feedback and improvement

Acceptable Use

When using StoryLink, you agree not to:

  • Use our services for any illegal purpose
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our services
  • Use our services to create, post, or transmit harmful or abusive content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use AI-generated reviews for public posting on review platforms
  • Use the services for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the services or servers

Intellectual Property

StoryLink and its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to the manuscripts and other content you submit. You grant StoryLink only a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display your content, and to transmit it to the third-party AI provider that generates your reviews, in each case solely to the extent necessary to operate and provide the Services to you. We do not publish your content, display it to other users, sell it, or use it to train or fine-tune AI models.

For AI-generated reviews, you obtain a personal, non-commercial license to use the content. This does not include the right to publicly post the reviews on third-party platforms or to use them for commercial purposes.

Payments and Refunds

Certain features of StoryLink require the purchase of word packs (credits). Prices are shown at checkout and are charged through our payment processor, Razorpay, in Indian Rupees (INR) or, where supported, your local currency. Word credits are added to your account immediately upon successful payment.

Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchase, except for taxes we are required by law to collect.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services, including all AI-generated reviews, are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

AI-generated reviews are produced by automated models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or otherwise unsuitable for your purposes. They represent simulated reader perspectives and do not constitute professional, editorial, legal, or commercial advice. You are responsible for reviewing and evaluating any output before relying on it.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryLink and its operators, affiliates, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid StoryLink for the Services during the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Where you have made no such payment, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian Rupees).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages, so some of the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StoryLink and its operators, affiliates, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) the content you submit, including any claim that it infringes or misappropriates the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party; (b) your use or misuse of the Services; or (c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

You represent and warrant that you own, or have all rights and permissions necessary to submit, the content you provide, and that submitting it and having it processed by our third-party AI provider does not violate any law or infringe the rights of any third party.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms.

Your continued use of StoryLink after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services that cannot be resolved amicably shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator, the seat and venue shall be New Delhi, India, and the language shall be English.

Subject to the arbitration provision above, the courts located in New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services.
